White Chocolate Bread Pudding is a guest favorite at Don’s Seafood and can be enjoyed any time of the year.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
BREAD PUDDING INGREDIENTS
1 loaf of French bread (stale)
1 1/2 cup of sugar
3 cups of whole milk
4 eggs
1 tbsp vanilla
1 stick of unsalted butter (melted)
1 cup of white chocolate chips
1 tsp cinnamon
RUM SAUCE INGREDIENTS
2 cups of evaporated milk
1 cup of sugar
3 egg yolks
1 shot of rum
COOKING TOOLS
1 large mixing bowl
1 medium deep baking dish
1 medium sauce pan
INSTRUCTIONS
Bread Pudding
In a large mixing bowl, break bread into small pieces. Add all ingredients, mixing well. Place ingredients into a medium deep greased baking dish and bake at 325° for 45 minutes.
Rum Sauce
In a medium sauce pan, add all ingredients and mix well. Cook on medium-high until mixture begins to boil. Reduce heat to a low simmer. Allow to slow cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and pour over warm bread pudding.
Best enjoyed with a cup of hot coffee!
